We Are La Fraternité (FRATERNITÉ UK)

It started in 2007

Since 2007, we have undertaken various activities in London and in various cities across England.

We primarily work with the Guinean and West African Communities based in the UK.

Our activities gather several stakeholders including professionals from the Home Office, the Police, the NHS, teachers, psychotherapists, religious leaders, campaigners from different countries, survivors, victims and parents.

Raising awareness & training

We host raising awareness sessions on the specific issue of Female Genital Mutilations (FGM) and on the broader issues linked to Safeguarding Children.

We have trained several dozens of “Safeguarding Children Community Champions” giving them the tools to recognise and deal with various types of child abuse.

Their understanding of the English legal system and their new knowledge will help keep our community safer and family more united.
