Dr Amadou Traore has been a founding member and first President of LA FRATERNITE – UK for 8 years.
He formerly stepped out as Honorary President in 2016 to progress in Public Health Emergency Management activities, first in his native Guinea and then more broadly in the region of West Africa.
Dr Traore notably worked with the German International Cooperation – GIZ.
Dr Traore previously served as a Clinical Practitioner in Guinea before working as a Bimolecular Research Assistant at the Royal Free and University College School of Medicine and the Institute for Biomedical Research (IBR) Edgebaston.
Dr Traore is a recipient of the Francophonie Scholarship, with an international civil servant course and internship at IRIC, ENA and UNITAR and WHO (Geneva).
Under his chairmanship at LA FRATERNITE – UK, a lot was achieved including the validation the organisation constitution, its registration in England & Wales as a charity. He remained a great advocate for resource mobilisation, community support and donation. Dr Traore led an effective management of a team of a dozen staff members.
